Individuals travel to Las Vegas from around the globe to place bets at the casino, but we are coming to place a new kind of bet: We bet that Net Zero can create a happier lifestyle for all.
The SK exhibit transports its attendees into a world powered by the innovative technologies of various companies under SK Group, including SK Innovation and its subsidiaries. Combined these companies become a solution package that works to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and boost societal morale through a clean and healthy environment, free of pollution and waste.
| Immersing CES attendees in a Net Zero Future
At CES 2024, SK’s booth continues to build off past CES participation, effectively conveying SK and Friends’ Net Zero story under a theme park concept, “Wonderland.” With the key message, “Inspire Happiness,” SK Wonderland demonstrates its commitment to jointly improve the stability of the Net Zero journey and seek to build companionship with those who are more greatly impacted.
Divided into three zones: Fantastic Island, Exciting Island, and Sweet Island, each attraction uses advanced technology to let visitors experience the positive impact a sustainable environment can have on society.
| Happiness woven into every thread of SK Wonderland
From the entrance of SK Wonderland, the Wonder Globe commanded the attention of all attendees. The Wonder Globe is designed to be an impactful symbol, showcasing the seven attractions throughout the area. Symbolic of the Las Vegas “Sphere,” media art is used to capture impressive and wonderful moments that inspire happiness. A display that will not be soon forgotten, the Wonder Globe serves as a reminder of SK’s companionship throughout the world. It makes you think of happy moments while feeling the beauty found in nature and our everyday life.

Passing the Wonder Globe, the first attraction of Fantastic Island, we were launched into the adventurous depths of the unknown through a Train Adventure experience. A hydrogen-powered train passes through a large media art tunnel that portrays beautiful sceneries while introducing next-generation energy technologies like CCUS* (Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage) and SMR** (Small Modular Reactor).
*CCS/CCUS: A technology that captures carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and stores it underground through a compression and transportation process. SK Energy and SK Earthon, subsidiaries of SK Innovation, are securing competitiveness in CCUS technology by participating in various CCUS projects domestically and abroad.
**SMR: As a competitive, safe, and carbon-free energy source, SMR is well-positioned to replace retiring coal-fired power plants while complementing any intermittent generating periods of renewables. Unlike conventional light-water reactor types cooled with pressurized water, TerraPower’s next-generation sodium-cooled fast reactor (SFR), which SK Inc. and SK Innovation invested in, uses liquid sodium as the reactor coolant, which has high safety to enable air cooling in a natural circulation method without electric coolant pumps.
The thrilling finale? An AI fortune teller crafted a personalized tarot card using our faces, a playful reminder that Net Zero’s future holds endless possibilities.

| Potential for Societal Happiness through SK Wonderland
The energy around SK’s exhibition at CES 2024 crackles like a live wire, drawing in an overwhelming stream of attendees. Smiles erupt from each attraction as individuals experience the various activities set up throughout SK Wonderland.
SK Wonderland highlights the potential to foster social cohesion and community resilience. Imagine a world where communities collaborate on renewable energy projects, promoting a shared purpose. The exhibit’s interactive islands are more than just fun and games; they are invitations to co-create a more equitable and resilient world.
Stepping out of SK Wonderland, one cannot help but feel a sense of collective purpose. The playful energy of the exhibits had subtly woven a message of shared responsibility, reminding us that building a Net Zero world requires not just technological advancements, but a fundamental shift in our values and behaviors.
It is clear that SK is not simply showcasing key business components, but also drawing from the creativity and emotions of each attendee, igniting imagination, and sparking conversation of SK’s numerous innovations and their positive impact on society.
SK Wonderland is a powerful reminder that the journey of Net Zero is about creating a better future for all. As individuals and communities, we have the power to contribute to a Net Zero future, and in turn, a happier world.
