“SK, Your companion on the journey toward Net Zero future.”

Let us introduce the two last zones in SK’s Green Forest Pavilion at CES 2022: Walk to Tomorrow -where visitors can pledge for carbon-neutral and donate green points accumulated while roaming in the exhibition hall, and Green Playground – where they can participate in eco-friendly games and win special prizes.

01 | Walk to Tomorrow – The promise to create a green future

Walk to Tomorrow zone is an interactive space where visitors may join SK in creating a cleaner future by making promises and donations to revitalize the environment.

Here, visitors can use the Donghaeng (Buddy) application installed in the mobile docent provide at SK Pavilion to make one of the nine pledges to protect the environment. The suggested nine pledges are ▲ driving electric vehicles, ▲ using hydrogen energy, ▲ reducing unused electricity, ▲ avoiding excessive packaging, separating trash properly, using low power consumption products, ▲ consuming low-carbon products, ▲ eating sustainable foods, ▲ using less paper. If a visitor clicks one of nine carbon reduction icons in the Buddy application, the chosen commitment will be displayed on the wall.

Such activity help visitors engage more in the journey to achieve Net Zero as a “companion” of SK. “It was impressive that SK sought to engage people willingly in the campaign with the issue of carbon neutrality,” one visitor commented. “Seeing my commitment exhibited on the big wall spurred me to keep my promise with a greater sense of responsibility.”

Furthermore, visitors can participate in another activity to save the Earth by using the green points they have earned since they entered SK Pavilion – donating to the Mangrove Reforestation Project in Vietnam and Myanmar of SK & Friends. The total number of donated green points will be kept updated in real time and appear on the a big screen in Walk to Tomorrow zone.

02 | Green Playground – Fun ways to boot eco-friendly initatives

The last zone in SK Pavilion is Green Playground, where visitors can play two games with the coins they received from mobile docent participation and donation. One of the game is “H2 Crane,” a fun way to catch hydrogen balls. The other one is “Green Luck Slot,” a kind of slot machine. By playing these games, visitors can receive various kinds of Green Reward, such as the gold eSSD from SK Hynix, upcycled rPET bags from SK’s partner company, coupons for animal-free foods at the outdoor food trucks provided by another partner of SK, etc.
