On October 21, SK Earthon launched the “EnviRun for the Earth*” (“EnviRun” in short) plogging campaign activity around the Seoul World Cup Stadium (located in Seongsan-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul) with the hopes of making the world a better place for the next generation.

(*) EnviRun for the Earth: a representative ESG program of SK Innovation to protect the environment by encouraging the company’s members to pick up trash, especially plastic waste, around their working places, homes, or public areas.

The EnviRun campaign by SK Earthon reflects its corporate name, which is a coined word combining ‘earth’ for ‘the globe’ or ‘terrain’, and ‘on’ for ‘continuation,’ proving how the company is “Realizing the value of resources based on technical prowess and expertise, and turning on the hope of green business that promises a sustainable future.” Moreover, it is extra meaningful that the campaign was being carried out not only by Korean members, but also by those from other countries, who are united in hope for Busan to host World Expo 2030.

On October 21, SK Earthon CEO Myeong Seong and about 60 members of the company participated in the EnviRun campaign at the Seoul World Cup Stadium, where the 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup was held. All participants of the event on that day wear the company’s jackets that have stickers saying “Supporting for Busan’s bid to host World Expo 2030.”

The EnviRun activity, which was consecutively held all over the world, is significant not only because about 180 members of SK Earthon working in domestic and overseas business premises rallied their hearts to support Busan’s bid for World Expo 2030, but also because it was planned and executed in a way that made the earth environment cleaner and greener, in line with the company’s mission.

All subsidiaries of SK Innovation will continue with multiple promotional activities in and outside Korea to support Busan’s bid to host the World Expo 2030.
