Known as the Gateway to Asia, Singapore is also the busiest transshipment port in the world.
According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, the port of Singapore handled about 37.5 million TEU (20 foot equivalent unit) containers last year, and as transshipment volume increased, bunker sales exceeded the 2019 and 2020 records.
Being aware of the importance of Singapore, SK Trading International established its Singaporean subsidiary, named SK Energy International, in 1990. So it has been more than 3 decades since we started trading business here.
Today, we came to SK Energy International to meet the 14th guest of SKinno People: Kevin Wong, a Bunker Trader in the Asia Bunker Trading team.
Kevin Wong graduated with Bachelor of Science in Maritime Studies and joined SKEI’s bunker team in 2018. He loves maintaining a healthy lifestyle and actively joins multiple CSR programs, including the EnviRun for the Earth plogging campaign organized by the company.
Let’s check SKinno People video to hear more about Kevin Wong’s tasks in SKEI, his memories with SK, daily life, and future goals!
