From February 22 to 28, members of SK Innovation’s affiliates in Korea participated in a campaign to donate relief goods for the victims of the recent earthquake in Türkiye and Syria.

The campaign was initiated by an anonymous member of SK Innovation, who posted on the company bulletin board to call for a meaningful activity that could help the people affected by the disaster. The post received positive responses from other members of the company, and it was quickly turned into a campaign joined by 229 employees in various business sites of SK Innovation across Korea.

After one week, the campaign gathered total 1030 items of relief goods including clothes, hats, gloves, mufflers, socks, blankets, sleeping bags, heat packs, etc., (which have never been worn). Children of some employees also sent handwritten messages to encourage the unfortunate earthquake victims.

After being examined, sorted and carefully packed, the goods are now ready to be delivered to the Embassy of Republic of Türkiye in Seoul in March.

Oh Seung-keun (Sales Manager, Central Region Business Office, SK Energy), a donator of the campaign, shared that as a father who has a daughter, it broke his heart when he saw the photo of a Turkish father holding the hand of his daughter buried under rubble after the earthquake. Therefore, he decided to join the campaign and hopes that it could help the victims even a little.
